Volume V Available Now

It’s here! The From Arthur’s Seat Volume V anthology is available to order! The contributors of this anthology have been working for months, and now that all of the writing, editing, and designing are complete they are excited to share their accomplishment with you.

In times of difficulty and uncertainty, the arts can create meaning and bring people together in ways that little else can. This is tangible in the fifth volume of From Arthur’s Seat, an annual anthology of short prose and poetry written, edited, and produced entirely by students in the Creative Writing MSc at the University of Edinburgh.

From Arthur’s Seat is not just a showcase of individual talents, but a testament to the magic that happens when writers from around the world have the privilege to learn, work, and grow together. The stories and poems in this anthology are as diverse as their authors – and every piece speaks urgently to the world we live in. These pages feature new and original writing that will delight, astonish, challenge, and change you.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the team was unable to have the launch party they originally planned on having, but they hope you join in on the virtual readings. Check out our social media accounts and Events page for more information.

If you would like to buy a single copy, the anthology is available to order now by clicking “Buy Now” below. The anthology is £9.99 + £3.00 for shipping.

  1. What a gorgeous cover! Great work by the editing team and the students. I cannot wait to discover the prose! If the cover is any indication, it will be stellar!
